ONE DAY

This was my early morning drive to work.
I do not like winter.
Take me back to HAWAII.

Its back.. Tim Hortons rrrrrroll up the rim to win.
its exciting and so defeating at the same time.
when you see the words
"PLEASE PLAY AGAIN"
its a terrible feeling for any Canadian.
And now there are two chances to lose. grr.

I got to spent the day with KRISTEN BUCK!
Such a blessing.
I have missed this lady so much and It was lovely to catch up.
She is the normal one.
I, well, am not.
<3
besties.

 Surprisingly today I decided to make something healthy to eat.
Surprisingly, because I have not wanted to eat anything healthy in the last week.
I want to eat. All the time. and my stomach craves things it shouldn't.
So creating this meal was quite an achievement!
And it was SO good. :)

This was a lovely delight to see. Little buds
A sight to see in the midst of all this blustery weather.
Signs of spring are filling the Fleming house. yay!

This is my mama. She is on her way to her pottery studio. Tea in hand.

 Meet my pup - Abby-Jane.
She just got her hair cut and she hates it.
She gets embarrassed and usually hides away until her hair grows a little.
She has a jacket because she gets cold.
My dad hates the jacket and always takes it off when he comes home from work.

this was my February 27th.

FOR REAL

* * *
So often I feel as though my conversations are surface, meaningless,
 talking about the weather kind of conversations.
I want more.

there is a..
NEED TO FEEL LOVED.
NEED TO FEEL ACCEPTED.
NEED AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPs.
THERE IS A NEED FOR REAL.

As Christians we need to cultivate a culture that promotes authentic loving relationships.
 We are family.. brothers and sisters.

This should mean we carry each others burdens.
Speak truth in love.
 Heartfelt, true, tangible REAL relationship.
 A relationship that ends with "let me pray for you."
I REALLY care.
 I want to be a part of you life, your love, your hurts, your struggles, your successes,
your REAL.

A friend who you are able to spill your guts to and says "lets tidy this up together."
Let me get down and help you clean this up.
You might make a mess tomorrow but I am here to help you through.

I want to invest in deep, heartfelt, honest to the core relationships..
no matter how ugly they may look.

Lord help me to be a friend like this,
a friend thats REAL.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

//
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:  If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

//
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24

//
 Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.

Welcome Petra Design
My own mother, the creator of Petra, is a potter.
She started working with clay about a year ago and loved it!
She has since turned one of our basement rooms into her own pottery studio.
She started a website and has her pieces featured in some local shops.
I often come home to her working in the studio creating the most amazing things.
I love her desire to create.
Way to go momma!

SOW GOOD

As they went from town to town, a lot of people joined in and traveled along. He addressed them, using this story: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. Some of it fell on the road; it was tramped down and the birds ate it. Other seed fell in the gravel; it sprouted, but withered because it didn’t have good roots. Other seed fell in the weeds; the weeds grew with it and strangled it. Other seed fell in rich earth and produced a good crop.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
The ones along the path are those who have HEARD; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. And the ones on the rock are those who, when they HEAR the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who HEAR, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

As for that in the good soil, they are those who, HEARING the word, seize the Word and HOLD ON no matter what, and bear fruit with PATIENCE.

Luke 8:11-15

DEEPLY ROOTED

DEEPLY ROOTED
//magazine//

Deeply Rooted Magazine is an independent, quarterly publication geared towards Christ-following wives and moms. We use beautiful imageryclean design, and scripturally-sound articles to show our readers how the Gospel is woven into every aspect of being a woman, wife, and mom.

* * *
The name “Deeply Rooted” stems from a
number of verses, but two I want to share with you
are:

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust
is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that
sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear
when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and
is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not
cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8.)

"… But when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away."   (Matthew 13:16)

This life is a vapor. Am I, are we, using all our energy on earthly activities that will leave us scorched and
withered? Or are we taking the time to root ourselves in Truth so that we can be women that bear fruit and not whither away?

As wives and moms, we face a world of things that attempt to steal our attention and take our eyes off the
eternal picture. My desire for this magazine is to use Gospel-centered content and beautiful imagery, to
encourage and inspire you to a deeper relationship with God. I’m excited for this journey to unfold.
May we be a generation of DEEPLY ROOTED women.
Be blessed,
Dianne Jago
